Todd Imhof Joins Heritage Team

(Dallas, TX) - One of the numismatic profession's most respected leaders, Todd L. Imhof, has been named a Vice President of Heritage Auction Galleries, Dallas, Texas (www.HeritageAuctions.com), the world's largest collectibles auctioneer.
Imhof, a co-founder of Pinnacle Rarities in Lakewood, Washington, is a former Chairman of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA) and a member of the Consumer Protection Committee of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG). Well-known in the profession for numerous transactions involving famous and finest known numismatic rarities, he will oversee private treaty sales at Heritage beginning May 15, 2006.

"Todd has one of the best personal and professional reputations in numismatics. With his impeccable integrity and professionalism, he is a trusted advisor to many of the largest, most sophisticated coin collectors in the country," said Greg Rohan, Heritage President.

In 1993, at the age of only 25, Imhof became one of the youngest dealers ever accepted as a PNG member. He served as ICTA Chairman from 2002 to 2005.

Although he originally did not intend to become a rare coin dealer, his numismatic career began in 1991.

"I studied international finance in college and had accepted a position with a major Wall Street bank. But through a couple of twists of fate, I deferred my employment in New York to join a high school classmate's company, Hertzberg Rare Coins, in Tacoma, Washington. I quickly acquired an appreciation for the history and artistry of coins, and more important, I found I loved dealing with collectors," said Imhof.

In 1991, he acquired assets of Hertzberg and co-founded Pinnacle Rarities with Kathleen Duncan.

"Since then, I've specialized in high-quality, rare U.S. coins, working closely with savvy collectors, connoisseurs and investors who are assembling many of the largest and most prestigious collections. I'll be eternally grateful for the business, support and friendship of so many people over the past 15 years," Imhof stated.

He and wife, attorney Heidi Imhof, have two sons, Nicholas, 5, and James, 4. The Imhofs have been active supporters of many civic and charitable organizations in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

In addition to his enjoyment of coins, Imhof collects Olympic medals and fine wines, and is an avid, competitive sailor.
