History of the United States Mint and Its Coinage by David W. Lange ranked 182nd among the “Books Everyone Should Read Before College,” according to a poll of Amazon.com independent booksellers.

It was conducted by bookseller Seth Hopkins of Cup o’ Books in Rochester, N.Y.

“This is an outstanding achievement for a numismatic book,” said Wayne Homren, editor of E-Sylum, the electronic newsletter of the Numismatic Bibliomania Society, a hobby group of literature enthusiasts. “I applaud the booksellers for spotting it and considering it in the voting.”

History of the United States Mint and Its Coinage joins works by Edward Gibbon, John Remington Graham, Friedrich von Hayek, Chester Wilmot, John Steele Gordon and other distinguished historians.
