Interesting history of the 1894-S Dime! Almost fell out of my chair reading this thinking for a moment I was holding one of these, especially considering my great, and great'great grandparents lived in SF! ...but alas, my 1894 Dime has no 's' on its backside. Bummer! My mom passed away a few months ago and she had an old coin collection that was divided up between me and my 8 siblings. Curious to know how many 1894 dimes were produced without the 's'...is mine at all rare? I will gladly send you a picture of my 1894 dime and four others I have dated 1908, 1914, 1917 and 1945 but can't submit a .jpg through this message...so please email me for pictures. Have two Indian head nickels too! Now I'm anxious to know what all my siblings have in their collections.
