Virginia Beach, VA – DLRC Auctions (www.davidlawrence.com ) has reported that their Internet Auction #328 which closed last night has realized an eye-popping $230,000! The sale featured (among other great coins) the Smoky Mountains Collection, with 360+ DGS-graded coins. DLRC Auctions sold approximately 367 DGS coins for 50% over the amount guaranteed to the client, with over 120 successful bidders.

John Feigenbaum, David Lawrence Rare Coins and DGS President stated, “This result speaks volumes for the coin market as a whole, DGS coins and DLRC Auctions. The consignor of the Smoky Mountain Collection already called this morning and was thrilled with the results, as well. He and I discussed the merits of grading collector coins with honest descriptions (i.e. lightly cleaned, light scratch, and so on). For years, collectors have been told these coins have no value because they won’t “grade” at the major services. This is simply not the case. Collectors love and need affordable coins and DGS is here to provide people with assurance in buying them.”
