MONACO, the largest numismatic company in the U.S. has just issued a re-strike of the original octagonals whoch are out of reach of most collectors. An original will price between $45,000 and $750,000 right now. The re-strike was done by melting an original ingot off the shipwreck SS Central America which sunk in 1857, with the use of the original dies, to create a flawless restrike of this 2 1/2 oz. Octagonal at a price of only $7,950. Only 375 re-strike were made and no more will be commissioned. call me at 888-751-1933 Ext. 4578 and I will be glad to help you, with either an original (20% down, 2 years to complete hte purchase) or a re-strike :).
