I had the pleasure of personally knowning Maynard Sundman, meeting him for the first time in the early 1990's. He led me on an enjoyable, enthusiastic walking tour of downtown Littleton, New Hampshire, pointing out the building where he first opened an office to sell stamps by mail order in 1945. Back in the 90's Littleton, NH even still a small drug store that had a soda fountain! It was a memorable experience to hear first-hand about the launch of a family-owned company that has brought hobby enjoyment to literally millions of people the past half-century.
