BREAKING NEWS:....... Gold Futures Rise 5% in August and Silver Hits Three Month Highs

Sonny Henry Auction Results – Feb. 7th, 2009

The February 7, 2009 Coin Auction, & Mail Bid of the Jeffrey collection from Illinois, & others conducted by SONNY HENRY’S AUCTION SERVICE of Mendota, IL was held at the Midwest Center for Christian Living Lasalle, IL. It was very fast paced, and exciting.

There were over 70 bidders in attendance coming from Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Mail Bids were received from 15 different states. Several coin clubs were represented. There were $1, & $5 Bills given away during the Auction. A number was drawn for 1/10 ounce American Eagle Gold Pc., and several other coins, 1 ounce silver, and money prizes were given away at the end of the Auction.

There were over 500 Lots in the Auction. It started at 2:00 P.M. and was over at 5:40 P.M. The Bidding was very competitive throughout the entire auction. Prices were very strong. At recent auctions prices were very high. High Grade Coins, Morgan Dollars, Large Cents, Commemorative, seemed to be the leaders in the Auction. Also common low grade coins and Currency were commanding Higher prices. This Auction far exceeded all expectations.
