A nice article, Doug, with some good insights. But so many of today's "experts" seem to be a long ways off from most collectors. Starting out at $1000 and up for coins are far out of reach for a lot of folks. And I would step out to say that the majority of collectors are buying coins priced at under $500, and maybe many at under $100! I enjoy reading about some of the great coins sold at auction, many of which reach over a million dollars now, but this is a pipe dream for most. Give us insights into "blue collar" collectible coins.....ones that the bulk of collectors can purchase!
