Rare coins on display at weekend exhibit, show
Coin collectors and enthusiasts from across Canada and the U.S. will be in Niagara Falls this weekend for the 54th annual Canadian Numismatic Association convention. “Coins are part of our history in Canada. They are a part of who we are,” said Peter Kostyk, a coin collector and vice-chairman of the convention. Kostyk said the convention is the largest of its kind in Canada and more than 70 dealers will be there with displays of coins, paper money, Canadian Tire money, jewelry and other collectibles. The convention is open to the public this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel and Convention Centre on Fallsview Boulevard.
